"Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time!"
- Spartan King Leonidas
Why do we Celebrate Heroes and Heroines? Because they Rise Up, often times against All odds? Could it be that we are inspired by their demonstrations of Character - Courage - Commitment??!! Heroes create their world, while Victims allow life to happen to them and then complain about it. You have everything already in you to Be the Hero/Heroine in your story! You are Able!! You are Worthy!! You are Enough!!
When we consider our health, sometimes heroic decisions get to be made moment by moment...Drink more water, less soda...Eat for Nutrition, not Emotion...Get plenty of good rest...Walk away from toxic relationships...Exercise your body!! Start NOW, right where you are, and Rise Up!! Demonstrate Commitment, Courage and Character in EVERY choice you make!! Choose to LIV EPIC!!
Webster refers to Discipline as "training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character" - "Self Control". It is said that one of the biggest inhibitors in our quest to be fit and healthy is a lack of Discipline and Self-Control. We live in a Society where "Super-Size" is almost a way of life; where stadium seats have been enlarged to accommodate our growing physiques; and where reactive health care is common. Choosing to be Disciplined requires great Self-Control; which for the lazy may be extremely painful. Likewise, Webster defines Regret as "to mourn the loss or death of" - "to be very sorry for". 90 days or 1 year from now, what results do you desire in your body? What are you willing to do to obtain them? Are you willing to suffer the pain of Discipline rather than suffering the pain of Regret? Commit 2 B FIT!!
Is your approach to fitness filled with Intensity or Insanity? Are you working hard or smart? Are you more invested in quantity or quality?
Webster defines Insanity as a "deranged state of mind", "something utterly foolish or unreasonable", "such unsoundness of mind or lack of understanding". If you work out in a public gym, you know exactly what I'm referring too...the "muscle head" attempting to lift a ton of weight by barely completing a mere portion of a rep, or the girl more focused on her wardrobe than her workout, or the one doing what appears to be a barbell bicep curl turned full body experience? This is INSANE!!
Likewise, Webster defines Intensity as "the quality or state of being intense"; which is to say "marked by or expressive of zeal, energy, determination or concentration". These are the Olympic Athletes, the "Master" Trainers, the ones who look and feel young and vibrant!
What is the difference? Knowledge? Time? Focus? YES!! Getting results does NOT require long hours in a gym, or miles on a track. Being healthy does not come from fasting or radical eating plans. It DOES, however, come with Commitment, Focus and Dedication!! I can teach you how to maximize your efforts, but this is only effective once you choose to shift your mindset from Insanity to Intensity!! Let today be the day you COMMIT 2 LIV FIT!!
